JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.- Southern Wesleyan's men's tennis team fell 7-2 to Carson-Newman.
The Warriors (1-8) went 1-5 in singles play and 1-2 in doubles play.
In singles competition, Harry Reed defeated Marc Bantel 6-4 at the No. 4. Joao Pedro Oliveira defeated Camilo Sandoval 6-2, 7-5 at the No. 1, Juan Sebastian Perez defeated Daniel Zapata 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 2, Stefano Daza defeated Stan Grzeslo 6-4, 6-1 at the No. 3, Kevin Mendes defeated Keegan Barkley 8-2 at the No. 5, and Jesus Barcete defeated Urs Widow 8-4 at the No. 6.
In doubles competition, Reed/Barkley defeated Oliveira/Barcete 9-8 at the No. 2. Daza/Perez defeated Sandoval/Zapata 8-1 at the No. 1 and Presson/Mendes defeated Grzeslo/Widow 8-4 at the No. 3.
Southern Wesleyan next hosts Findlay March 4 for a 3 p.m. match.
