MISENHEIMER, N.C.- Southern Wesleyan grabbed a season-high 50 rebounds in its 65-57 loss to Pfeiffer.

Noelle van Zadelhoff posted a double-double with 16 points and 18 rebounds. Chelsie Waters scored ten points and grabbed six rebounds. Brooke Strickland scored seven points and pulled in three rebounds.

The Falcons (7-14, 6-11 CC) started the game with an 11-5 run for an early six point lead. The Warriors (4-20, 1-17 CC) cut the deficit to one point with an 8-3 run to close out the first quarter. Pfeiffer stretched their lead to six points with a 21-16 run in the second quarter.

In the third quarter, Southern Wesleyan tied the game as they outscored the Falcons 16-10. Pfeiffer started the fourth quarter with a 13-7 run to lead by six with 3:50 remaining. The Warriors were able to cut the deficit to four points, but that would be the closest the game would get as the Falcons outscored them 7-5 to close out the game.

Southern Wesleyan will next host Barton Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m.
