Bears Down Warriors

PENDLETON, S.C.- Southern Wesleyan's men's tennis team fell 5-4 to Lenoir-Rhyne.

The Warriors (0-4) went 4-2 in singles play and 0-3 in doubles play.

In singles competition, Camilo Sandoval defeated Patrick Bauer 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 1, Harry Reed defeated Alex Cresposanchez 6-4, 7-5 at the No. 4, Urs Widow defeated Filip Dobrosavljevic 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 at the No. 5, and Keegan Barkley defeated Matthew Ledford 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 at the No. 6. Tomas Hons defeated Daniel Zapata 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 and Shane O'Dea defeated Stan Grzeslo 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 3.

In doubles competition, Bauer/O'Dea defeated Sandoval/Zapata 8-5 at the No. 1, Hons/Ledford defeated Grzeslo/Widow 8-3 at the No. 2, and Cresposanchez/Dobrosavljevic defeated Barkley/Reed 8-4 at the No. 3.

Southern Wesleyan next hosts Queens tomorrow at 1 p.m.
