Warriors win in NCCAA Regionals Tournament

The Warriors made quick work of Lions on Friday afternoon.  In the first set they had fifteen kills out of 26 attempts leading them up to a 25-14 victory.  The Lions cause a little trouble in the second set, putting up twelve kills in forty-two total attempts.  However, the Warriors did not allow them the game as they put up nineteen kills in forty-five attempts.  The Warriors won the second set 25-21.  The third set look similar to the first set as the Warriors took it 25-14, allowing them to defeat John Wesley 3-0.

"It was great to get this first match under our belt!" said Head Volleyball Coach Julia Reininga.  She continued, "I'm proud of the team and the way they performed today!"

Annika Jones contributed with 40 assists, and Milica Stamenic and Anna Hughey combined for 27 digs in the win.  The win brings the Warriors record to 15-11 and 12-4 in Conference Carolina action.  The John Wesley Lions are now 9-4. 

The Warriors will return on November 19 at 9:30 am to take on Warner University.
