Warriors Win Third Consecutive Match

Southern Wesleyan scored two goals in the second half to clinch the victory over Belmont Abbey and move their winning streak to three matches.

Michel Herszenhaut scored the first goal unassisted for SWU in the second half to put the Warriors up 1-0. Fernando Posada then scored another unassisted goal for Southern Wesleyan and move the lead to 2-0.  Belmont Abbey scored their lone goal just three minutes after SWU's 2-0 lead.

Herszenhaut's goal was his third of the week as he also scored two goals in SWU's victory over Newberry College on Wednesday.

Miguel Uribe had six saves for SWU in the win.  The victory pushes the Warrior's overall record to 5-4 and conference record to 2-2.

The win moves SWU to fifth place in the most recent Conference Carolinas standings.

Southern Wesleyan will host Columbia International on Wednesday, October 5 at 7pm.
