Warriors drop season finale to Belmont Abbey

BELMONT, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan men's tennis finished the season on Friday, falling to Belmont Abbey 9-0.

The Warriors put up a fight against the Crusaders but failed to pick up a single win in the team match. Matthew Plummer forced three sets in singles action at the No. 5 spot but fell to Damien Nelson 6-4, 3-6, 10-6. Keegan Barkley fell to Juan Baez in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2.

In doubles action Camilo Sandoval and Barkley got together again but were unable to upend Conner McMann and Baez, falling 8-6 to the BAC duo. Matthew Plummer and Jacob Chesney lost in the other doubles match 8-2.
