MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan men's tennis suffered a 9-0 defeat at the hands of Pfeiffer on Saturday in a matchup of Conference Carolinas foes.
The Warriors captured just one set in singles action as Jacob Chensey took the first set over Bjorn Barwinski 6-3 at the No. 3 singles spot. Barwinski fought back to take the final two sets 6-0, 6-1. Keegan Barkley had a solid showing at No. 2, falling 6-2, 6-4 over Axel Woerner. The Falcons took the over four flights in straight sets.
Pfeiffer took all three doubles spots as Matthew Plummer and Loic Delaby put up the best fight at No. 2. The Warriors duo suffered an 8-6 setback to Sebastian Wernecke and Axel Woerner. Jacob Chesney and Alex Ballenger dropped the No. 3 doubles to Jimmy Molina and Orlando Castillo 8-5. Oscar van Koch and Bjorn Barwinski defeated Camilo Sandoval and Keegan Barkley 8-2 at No. 1 doubles.
The Warriors are scheduled to host four matches this week, the first against North Greenville on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
