HICKORY, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan men's tennis suffered a 9-0 setback on Saturday against Lenoir-Rhyne in nonconference action.
The Warriors dropped all three doubles matches as the Warriors managed to win just seven games in the three matches. At No. 2 Loic Delaby and Matthew Plummer kept pace the best, falling 8-4 to Matthew Ledford and Filip Dobrosavljevic. Jacob Chesney and Alex Ballenger dropped No. 3 doubles 8-2 against Robin Hochguertel and John Christian Reid. Patrick Bauer and Marvin Mueller defeated Camilo Sandoval and Keegan Barkley 8-1 at No. 1 doubles.
In singles action the Bears took all six flights as Loic Delaby had the best showing for the Warriors. Delaby fell in straight sets to Dobrosavljevic 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 4 position. No other Warriors was able to win more than three games.
The Warriors will continue their six game road trip at Lees-McRae on Friday.
