CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan men's tennis fell to Queens University of Charlotte 8-1 on Saturday.
The Warriors lone win came in singles action as Jacob Chesney picked up his first singles win of the season. Chesney defeated Andor Vas in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4 singles. Keegan Barkley was able to take six games off of Jules Athalis at No. 2 singles losing 6-4, 6-2.
SWU fared better in doubles as Chesney and Alex Ballenger came within two games of Zachary Williams and Thomas Hunter Harbin at No. 3 doubles, losing 8-6. Camilo Sandoval and Barkley lost 8-5 at No. 1 doubles to Per-Erik Soler and Vas.
The Warriors are back on the court on Feb. 20 to face Carson-Newman at 1 p.m.
