Warriors Fall to Bison in NCCAA Tournament Semi-Finals to Close Out Season

KISSIMMEE, Fla.‑ Southern Wesleyan fell to No. 4 seed Oklahoma Baptist in four sets in the semi-finals of the NCCAA Tournament.

The Bison (27-12) took the first two sets 25-20 and 25-18. The Warriors (23-7) won the third set 25-22. Southern Wesleyan started the fourth set strong as they opened up an early 6-1 lead. They extended their lead to seven points on a couple of errors by the Bison. Oklahoma Baptist slowly chipped away at the lead and tied the game at 16-16. They never lost the lead from that point on and closed out the game with three consecutive points.

Sarah Hughey led the team with 21 kills and also had one solo block. Paige O'Connor had 14 kills. Megan Widener had 45 assists and 18 digs. Milica Stamenic led the team with 28 digs.
