Warriors Play to Double Overtime 0-0 Draw at Erskine Thursday

DUE WEST, S.C. - The Southern Wesleyan men's soccer team played to a double overtime 0-0 draw at Erskine on Thursday afternoon. With Thursday's draw the Warriors move to 9-4-2 overall and 4-3-2 in Conference Carolinas and Erskine is now 4-9-3 and 2-4-3 in conference play. 

The Flying Fleet outshot the Warriors 15-8 t though both teams tallied three corner kicks in the contest. Ruben Rodriguez finished the 110 minutes of play with nine saves in goal for Southern Wesleyan. 

The Warrirors have a quick turnaround, returning to the field Saturday, Oct. 31 against undefeated Pfeiffer. Saturday is homecoming for Southern Wesleyan and will also be senior day for the Warrior soccer programs. Kickoff of the men's game is set for around 3 p.m. after the conclusion of the 1 p.m. women's matchup, and the game will take place at Southern Wesleyan's new track and soccer complex.
