Women's Golf finishes 9th at SSAC Championship

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Southern Wesleyan women's golf finished 9th at the Southern States Athletic Conference Championship held at Lagoon Park Golf Course on Tuesday.


Round Two 
Callie Brothers followed up her 85 on Monday with another round of 85 as the Warriors dropped a spot to finish 9th at the SSAC Championship.  SWU shaved 10 shots off of Monday's 365 to shoot 355 but Martin Methodist shot 347 to secure 8th place.


Coastal Georgia won the tournament by 13 shots over Loyola-New Orleans.  Christian Liggin won the individual title with a 153 (74-79), two shots ahead of Heather Nail from Mobile.


Abbey Sullivan finished the tournament at 177 (88-89) in 32nd place while Cyndi Smith (180 -90-90) and Kaycee Blackwell (193-102-91) round out the scoring for the Warriors.


Round One 
The Warriors shot a 365 on the first day led by Callie Brothers' 85.  Brothers is in a five-way tie for 18th after 18 holes.  Abbey Sullivan shot an 88 while Cyndi Smith carded a 90.  Kaycee Blackwell rounded out the scorers with a 102.


Coastal Georgia leads the event by three strokes over Loyola-New Orleans.  The Mariners shot a 325 for the day led by individual leader Christian Liggin's two-over 74.  She leads the field by four shots.
