Men's Tennis overmatched by Piedmont

DEMOREST, Ga. – Southern Wesleyan men's tennis was back in action on Saturday for the first time in 11 days, falling to Piedmont 7-2.


The Warriors won at number one singles as Camilo Sandoval continues his successful year.  Sandoval defeated Matthew Metzger 6-1, 6-4 for the lone singles win of the afternoon for SWU.  Jacob Chesney and Loic Delaby teamed to win at number two doubles, 8-6, for the other win on the afternoon.


The number one doubles team of Sandoval and Matthew Plummer nearly came away with a victory, losing 8-6.  Chesney had the best showing outside of Sandoval in singles action, falling in three sets at the number two position.
