HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Wesleyan women's golf team wrapped up their fall schedule at the Carey Collegiate Fall Classic on Tuesday.
The Warriors were in 9th out of 10 teams after day one but failed to finish as a team after Callie Brothers had to withdraw during the second round. Abbey Sullivan led the Warriors with a two-day total of 177 (91-86) to finish in a tie for 25th of the 49 golfers. Kaycee Blackwell shot 179 (89-90) to finish 31st. Brothers shot a 92 on Monday before leaving the tournament.
William Carey won the tournament with a score of 644 (321-323) in a showcase of the SSAC women's teams. Sarah Hicks from William Carey took the individual medalist honors with a 151 (72-79).
This tournament concludes the fall portion of the women's schedule but the Warriors will return to action in the spring.
