Lecanto, FL – Southern Wesleyan had five ladies compete as individuals in the Battle at Black Diamond this week.

How It Happened

Mia Andrada led the Warriors as she finished just shy of the top ten in the Battle at Black Diamond.  Andrade shot a 77 in the opening round of the tournament.  She then battled back to shoot a 74 in the second round.  In the final round, Andrade shot a 78.  Her total round score of 229 allowed her to finish in a tie for 12^th place.

Finishing in 36^th place, Amelia Alonso had a total round score of 254.  She opened up the tournament with an 85.  In the second round she shot an 83.  Alonso wrapped up the tournament with an 86.

The next Warrior to finish in the Battle at Black Diamond was Victoria Gullo.  Gullo opened up the tournament with a 90 in the opening round.  She then shot an 88 in the second round and an 89 in the final round.  Her total round score of 267 put her in 41^st.

Caitlyn Leonhardt finished in a tie for 48^th place.  She opened up the tournament by shooting a 94.  In the second round she shot a 98 before shooting a 97 in the final round.  She finished with a total round score of 289.

Wrapping up the field for the Warriors is Zoe Sheriff.  She shot a 94 in the opening round and then a 98 in the second round.  Sheriff wrapped up the field with a 111 to give her a total round score of 303 and put her in 51^st place.

What's Next

The Warriors will next compete in Landrum, SC as they take part in the Glassy Mountain Autumn Classic hosted by North Greenville on October 5-6.  Southern Wesleyan will travel to Lake Oconee, GA on October 12-13 to compete in the Newberry Fall Invite.  They will wrap up the fall season on October 23-25 as they compete in Lake Suzy, FL at the Hallie Strong Invite.
