Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell to the Barton Bulldogs at home on Saturday afternoon in a 1-0 final score.
The Warriors picked up 17 shots with eight being on target in the loss to the Bulldogs. Emily Lorenzo and Breena Duffy each had two shots on goal. Ester Carabano played all ninety minutes in the goal and had four saves in the game.

How It Happened
Barton went on the attack early as Aubrey Mayberry and Ziara Brunson each put up attacks on the goal. Ester Carabano was able to block each of the attacks to prevent the Bulldogs from getting on the board. However, their attacks finally paid off as Brunson got the ball into the net to give the Bulldogs the lead. Breena Duffy put up a shot on the goal, but Olivia Terranova knocked the ball away. The Warriors continued to put up a fight as Addison Mack, Maya Drew and Duffy put up more shots, but none of their shots found the net.
Southern Wesleyan continued to look to equalize the game as Emily Lorenzo raced down the side of the field and sent the ball toward the net. However, Olivia Terranova was able to collect the ball before it found the net. The Warriors peppered the net with shots as Brianna Gonzalez, Brynleigh Bennett and Lucia Fernandez each put up shots. Southern Wesleyan continued their attacks, but they could not tie the game up as they fell to the Bulldogs in a 1-0 final.
What's Next
The Warriors will travel to Due West, SC on September 16 to take on the Erskine Flying Fleet at 2pm. They will remain on the road on September 19 as they travel to Ferrum, VA to take on the Ferrum Panthers. On September 22, the Warriors will host the Shorter Hawks at 3pm.
