Central, SC - Southern Wesleyan is excited to announce Fianna Steves of Lacrosse as this week's Mug Shot Coffee Athlete of the Week.

In the Warriors first game of the week against the Shorter Hawks, Steves picked up a season high ten ground balls.  She went on to cause the Hawks to turn the ball over nine times in the game.  Steves won two draws in the loss to Shorter.

Steves was an instrumental part of the Warriors victory over the Truett McConnell Bears on Thursday.  She caused nine turnovers in the game and picked up six grounds.  Steves went on to win seven draw controls.  The senior out of Myrtle Beach, SC, was also a strong offensive presence for the Warriors as she scored three goals in the game.

Against the Barton Bulldogs on Saturday, she caused three turnovers and picked up five ground balls.  Steves won two draws in the game.

Steves' stats over the week allowed her to break two career records for the Warriors.  She passed the record for ground balls in a career with 228 and caused turnovers in a career with 147.
