How It Happened
Young Harris attacked quickly as after Ester Carabano saved an attack on the goal by Faith Niebrugge, Clara Allen collected the ball and got it into the net. The Warriors looked to answer as Madison Stanley put up a shot. However, Emily Jantz was able to defend the net from Southern Wesleyan's attack. The Mountain Lions would not relent as they put up several more shots on the goal, but Carabano was there each time.
The Mountain Lions continued their attacks in the second half as Faith Niebrugge put up several more shots, but each time Ester Carabano was there to protect the goal. Young Harris would not relent as Charlotte Brown got the ball up to Kennedy Blake who scored to allow the Mountain Lions to extend their lead. Lucia Fernandez drove to the net and put up a shot, but once again Emily Jantz would not allow the ball to find the net. A series of passes and a break away by Emily Lorenzo led to another shot on the goal, but it would not find the net. Young Harris claimed the game in a 2-0 final.
