How It Happened
The Mountain Lions scored ten minutes into the first half as Noah Epailly crossed the ball over to Leo Skogsfjord to score. The Warriors answered as Ramon Estrada went on the attack, but Tommaso Morsoletto collected the ball to prevent Southern Wesleyan from tying the game up. A goal by Daniel Osorno allowed Young Harris to extend their lead to 2-0. Jonah Keoughan saved the next two attacks on the net made by Skogsfjord and Filip Zander. The Warriors looked for the net as Brody Schroeder broke away from the pack and took the ball down the field. Schroeder looked to pass the ball over to Mason Councill, but Morsoletto was there to prevent Councill from finding the net.
Young Harris continued to attack the goal in the second half as Daniel Osorno picked up his second goal of the game. Michael Boyle and Leonardo Flores put up several more shots on the net, but Tommaso Morsoletto and the Mountain Lions defense would not let either of the attacks through. With just under twenty minutes left on the clock, Luka Vasiljevic broke through the Warriors defense to score the fourth goal of the game for Young Harris. Andreas Christodoulou, Sebastian Zumbado and Mason Councill put up several more shots, but they were unable to get the Warriors on the board. The Warriors fell to the Mountain Lions in a 4-0 final.
