How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan took a couple attacks at the net early in the game, but the Mountain Lions were there to deter each one.  A foul right outside of the box allowed Betsy Bu to put up a shot, but her attempt to give Young Harris the early lead sailed just high of the net.  Eighteen minutes into the half, Ashley Caballero wove around the defense and sent the ball to the lower corner of the net, but Clara Williams was there to scoop the ball up and prevent it from finding the net.  From deep out, Camila Blanco sent the ball in toward the box, but once again Williams was there.  The match remained tied up at 0-0 at half time.

The Warriors continued their intensity in the second half as Camila Blanco drove the ball toward the net once again.  Clara Williams collected the ball to keep Southern Wesleyan from taking the lead.  Young Harris went on the offensive as Sunny Bowlin-Stacy took the ball toward the net.  However, Katelyn O'Neill jumped up to defend Bowlin-Stacy's attack from landing.  Shots by Kenna Bothe and Betsy Bu just missed the net.  Jessie Parrott got the ball away from the Mountain Lions and then sent the ball toward the net, but Williams got up to save the attack.  Camila Blanco collected the ball off the shot by Parrott and put another one toward the net, but once again Williams was there.  Bu attacked the net once again, but Katelyn O'Neill collected the ball.  Despite multiple attacks on the net, the Warriors and Mountain Lions concluded the game in a 0-0 draw.
