How It Happened
The Railsplitters charged out of the gate with shots on the goal by Ellie Snyder and Viktoria Filsner, but Katelyn O'Neill was able to corral each of the shots. Lincoln Memorial continued to attack and finally Jade Brown was able to flip the ball over to Filsner who got the ball into the back of the net after twenty-five minutes of play to put the Railsplitters on top. Lincoln Memorial would not relent as Hannah Stafford and Ellie Snyder scored back-to-back goals. Donna Van Der Zalm scored the Railsplitters fourth goal of the half.
Southern Wesleyan challenged early in the second half as Fianna Steves sent the ball toward the net. However, Emma Cooke was there to save Steves' attack from getting the Warriors on the board. Camila Blanco tried to get the ball into the net, but her shot went just a bit too high. The Railsplitters got one more goal on the board after fifteen minutes had passed in the half. Southern Wesleyan challenged again with shots by Annabella Watson, but they could not pass Lincoln Memorial and fell in a 5-0 final score.
