Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell to the North Greenville Trailblazers on Tuesday evening in an 18-5 final score.
The Warriors took 15 shots with 10 being on target in the game. Aleiza Manns and Rinna Beth Brooker each put up five shots on cage. Manns went on to score four of the five goals of the game. The other goal came out of the stick of Brooker. Mack Morea had the lone assist.
Southern Wesleyan won 10 draw controls. Mack Moreau won four while Fianna Steves was right behind her with three. The Warriors caused 13 turnovers and picked up 27 ground balls. Moreau led the team with three caused turnovers. Both Abbey Kovalcik and Helen Posey had four ground balls.
Caroline Lark and Ava Lombardi shared time in the cage. Lark started the game in the cage and recorded one save. Lombardi picked up two saves during her time in the cage.

How It Happened
North Greenville charged out of the gate as Lauren Crane and Kami Straub put in back-to-back goals within the first two minutes of play. The Warriors answered as Mack Moreau caused Crane to turn the ball over. Lexi Richardson picked up the ground ball and cleared it down the field. With just over twelve minutes left in the quarter Aleiza Manns wove around the defense and sent the ball into the back of the cage to put the Warriors on the board. The Warriors would not back down as Manns once again scored to tie the game up. However, the Trailblazers were ready as Kayla Harris and Kylie Keen each scored to allow North Greenville to regain the advantage.
The Warriors won the first draw of the second quarter as Mack Moreau pulled the ball down. North Greenville was able to get the ball back to their side of the field though. A foul in the eight meter allowed Lauren Crane to score off a free position shot to extend the Trailblazers lead to 7-2. Rinna Beth Brooker attempted to send the ball into the cage, but Tori Smith deflected the attack to prevent the Warriors from cutting into their lead. Shots by Moreau and Aleiza Manns were also thwarted. North Greenville would not back down as they scored several more times to take a 14-2 lead at halftime.
A foul in the eight meter allowed Rinna Beth Brooker to score the first goal of the third quarter. The Warriors persisted their attacks as Mack Moreau took a shot on the cage, but her shot was blocked. Hayley Billings picked up the ground ball and got the ball back to Moreau. Moreau flipped the ball over to Aleiza Manns who quickly got the ball into the cage to put the Warriors back within ten goals of the Trailblazers. North Greenville answered as Caroline Rider scored off a free position attempt.
The Trailblazers maintained their attacks in the fourth quarter as Kylie Keen scored once again. Southern Wesleyan went on the offensive, but Mack Moreau's shot sailed just wide of the cage. Rinna Beth Brooker took a shot on the cage, but it went wide as well. Aleiza Manns quickly collected the ground ball off of Brooker's shot and took it all the way to the cage to score the Warriors fifth goal of the game. North Greenville scored once more to win the game in an 18-5 final score.

Southern Wesleyan will wrap up the regular season on the road as they travel to Franklin Springs, GA to take on the Emmanuel Lions on April 18 at noon.
