How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan brought the first run of the game in to score in the top of the second inning.  Cam Mitchem and Jarrett Whitley were hit by pitches to put two runners on and bring Samuel Simonds up to bat.  Simonds hit into a fielder's choice that took Mitchem off the base pads.  With two on and one out, Caide Linker flew out to left field to bring Whitley in to score.

North Greenville struck in the third inning as several hits by the Trailblazers allowed them to take a 4-1 run lead over the Warriors.

The Warriors challenged again in the fourth inning.  Cam Mitchem led off the inning by singling to left center and then advancing to second on a wild pitch.  Jarrett Whitley followed by hitting a double to right center field to allow Mitchem to advance to third. With one out and runners in scoring position, Caide Linker ground out to second base to allow Mitchem to come in to score and cut the Trailblazers lead in half.

The Trailblazers would not relent as they brought several more runs in to score in the fifth to extend their lead to 8-2.

Cam Mitchem sent the ball over the left center field fence in the top of the sixth inning to put Southern Wesleyan behind North Greenville 8-3.

North Greenville brought another run in to score in the bottom of the sixth to regain their six run advantage over the Warriors.  The Trailblazers brought another run in to score in the eighth inning to win the game in a 10-3 final score.
