How It Happened

Shorter went on the offensive in the bottom of the first inning as a double by Zawacki and a wild pitch allowed two runs to come in to score.  The Hawks would not back down as they brought two more runs in to score in the second and third innings.

The Warriors challenged in the top of the fourth inning as an error allowed Griffin Pickhardt to reach first base and then Nolan Evatt singled to right field.  However, the Warriors could not bring the runners in to score to cut into the Hawks lead.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Shorter struck again as a double by Sauger allowed Shipman to come in to score.

A home run by Zawacki in the bottom of the fifth inning allowed Shorter to extend their lead to 7-0.  Shorter would not relent as they scored again in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to win the game in a 12-0 final.
