How It Happened

Mount Olive took the first shot on the goal as Charlotte Benson fired the ball toward the net, but Katelyn O'Neill batted the ball away.  A foul a couple meters above the box allowed Laugane Dion to take a free kick.  Dion sent the ball up into the upper corner of the goal to give the Warriors the early advantage.  The Trojans attempted to tie the game up, but each of their attacks on the net were thwarted by the Warriors' back line.  The Warriors continued to press ahead as Ella Beasley crossed the ball up to right above the box.  Alli Dalton collected the ball and sent the ball into the net to extend the Warriors lead to 2-0.

The Trojans kicked off the second half with their lone goal of the game as Jada Turner was able to get the ball into the net just four minutes into the half.  Southern Wesleyan answered as Vitallia Benforte and Fianna Steves attempted to extend on the Warriors lead.  However, each of their attacks were prevented as Mazey McKechnie swatted the ball from the net.  The Warriors would not back down as Ashley Caballero took a corner kick and sent it right toward the box.  Karina Pashkovets headed it into the goal to give the Warriors a 3-1 goal victory.
