How It Happened

The Warriors went on the attack early on in the game as Ashely Caballero and Hannah Kovalcik each attacked the net.  However, each of their attacks were prevented by Karis Eccleston to keep the Warriors from gaining the early advantage.  A foul allowed Laugane Dion to take a free kick.  Dion sent the ball toward the net, but once more Eccleston was there.  Katelyn O'Neill dove on top of an attack by Nayeli Granados to keep Shorter off the board.  Southern Wesleyan would not back down as Riley Webb and Camila Blanco each put up shots.  Ashley Caballero took a corner kick with just over two minute left in the half and sent it into the box.  Karina Pashkovets was there to head the ball into the back of the net to put the Warriors on top 1-0 at halftime.

Southern Wesleyan continued their attacks on the net in the second half as Alli Dalton and Maya Drew sent the ball toward the net.  Karis Eccleston was able to collect each of their attacks.  The Warriors would not relent as Maya Drew passed the ball up the field to Camila Blanco.  Blanco drilled the ball past Eccleston into the back of the net.  Southern Wesleyan continued their attacks as Brianna Gonzalez was able to pass the ball over to Blanco.  Blanco sent the ball into the net a second time to extend the Warriors lead to 3-0.  Shorter countered as Evann Yake put up a shot, but it sailed over the net.  The Hawks continued to try and get on the board as Gianna Estavillo took several attacks on the net, but Katelyn O'Neill was able to control each one of them.  Southern Wesleyan went on to win the game in a 3-0 final score.
