How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan challenged early as Ella Beasley and Ashley Caballero each put up shots on the net. However, Olivia Seston deflected each of the attacks to prevent the Warriors from taking the early advantage. King pressured as Marya Munoz was able to pass the ball up to Catherine Domecq for her to score the first goal of the game. The Tornado persisted as they scored twice more in the first half.
The Tornado continued their attacks in the second half as Ella Froehlich took a couple more shots on the goal, but neither of her attacks found the net. The Warriors looked to cut into King's lead as both Hannah Kovalcik and Ashley Caballero put up shots. However, Kovalcik's just missed the net, and Caballero's shot ricocheted off of the woodwork. Southern Wesleyan continued to challenge as Taylor Carper sent the ball toward the net, but Olivia Seston was there once again to knock the ball away. Seston saved another attack by the Warriors this time off the foot of Camila Blanco. King went on to claim a 3-0 goal victory over the Warriors.
