Track Results
100m: Makayla Wilson finished in the top 10 in the 100 meters. Wilson took 10th with a time of 12.31. Behind her, Sarah Richardson took 16th with a time of 12.85 and Cianna Laginestra took 17th with a time of 13.03.
200m: In the 200 meters, Makayla Wilson finished in 18th with a time of 25.83. TraVon Lay wrapped up the field for the Warriors as she took 27th with a time of 32.23.
400m: Finishing just shy of qualifying for the finals, Alysa Davis finished the preliminaries of the 400 meters in ninth with a time of 1:01.61. Lauryn Tate took 11th with a time of 1:02.74 and Meshayla Maddox finished in 16th with a time of 1:07.20.
800m: Evelyn Gordon took ninth in the preliminaries of the 800 meter run with a time of 2:27.36 to just miss qualifying for the finals. She was followed by teammate Merritt Smith who took 13th with a time of 2:39.64. Janey Dixon wrapped up the field for the Warriors as her time of 2:46.22 allowed her to take 19th place.
1500m: In the 1500 meter run preliminaries, Merritt Smith finished in 13th with a time of 5:12.57. She was followed by Emma Dixon and Haley Morgan. Dixon took 15th with a time of 5:13.98 and Morgan took 21st with a time of 5:44.11.
5000m: Abbey Frock led the Warriors in the 5000 meter run as her time of 19:48.33 allowed her to take 12th. Frock was followed by Divinity Ervin who took 24th with a time of 21:18.11.
100mh: The Warriors were led by TraVon Lay in the preliminaries of the 100 meter hurdles. Lay took sixth with a time of 15.23 to qualify for the finals. Kayla Lema took 14th in the preliminaries with a time of 18.37. In the finals, TraVon Lay finished in third place with a time of 14.78 to earn All-Conference honors.
400mh: Kayla Lema qualified for the finals of the 400 meter hurdles as her time allowed her to take sixth in the preliminaries with a time of 1:06.92. However, Lema was unable to finish in the finals.
3000m Steeplechase: Senior Abbey Frock took third place in the steeplechase with a time of 12.05.96 to earn All-Conference honors.
4x100 Meter Relay: The Warriors team of TraVon Lay, Makayla Wilson, Cianna Laginestra and Sarah Richardson took eighth place with a time of 49.03.
Field Results
High Jump: Sophomore Gavrielle Elswick took 12th in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.40 meters.
Long Jump: In the long jump, Makayla Wilson took ninth with a distance of 5.30 meters. Wilson was followed by Zy'Adriya Johnson who took 15th with a jump of 4.97m
Triple Jump: Zy'Adriya Johnson finished in 13th with a jump of 10.55m.
Shot Put: The Warriors were led by Alexandria Luther in the shot put as she threw a distance of 9.06m to put her in 15th place.
Discus: In the discus, Southern Wesleyan was led by freshman Gracie Wilson. Wilson threw a distance of 33.56 meters to take ninth. Behind her, fellow freshman Layla-Grey Bennett took 11th with a throw of 31.35 meters. Lakin Long was the next Warrior to finish as she threw 24.56m to put her in 19th place.
Hammer: Alexandria Luther took eighth place in the hammer throw after she threw 39.62 meters. She was followed by Gracie Wilson and Lakin Long. Wilson finished in 14th after throwing 32.13m and Long took 18th with a throw of 28.73m.
Javelin: Southern Wesleyan was led by freshmen Alexandria Luther and Gracie Wilson in the javelin. Luther took seventh with a throw of 32.25m and Wilson took 10th with a throw of 30.24m. Senior Lakin Long was the next Warrior to finish as she took 17th with a throw of 25.17m.
