Game Two

Once again the Crusaders were the first to score in the game as they brought two runs in to score in the top of the first inning.

Southern Wesleyan countered in the bottom of the first inning.  Addi Johnson singled and then advanced to second as Olivia Haag hit a single through the left side.  With two on and two out, Hannah Truett hit a single to bring Johnson in to score.

The Warriors tied the game up in the bottom of the second inning.  Talissa Cannady led off with a single up the middle and then advanced to second on a wild pitch.  Riley Wilson put down a sacrifice bunt to allow Cannady to advance to third.  Rebecca Lamb came in to pinch hit and hit the ball through the left side to bring Cannady in to score to tie the game up 2-2.

North Greenville would not relent as they brought two more runs in to score in the top of the third.

Southern Wesleyan tied the game up once again in the bottom of the fourth inning.  Riley Wilson was hit by a pitch.  Emmy Copeland laid down a bunt single to advance Wilson to second.  A sacrifice bunt by Riley Brown allowed both Wilson and Copeland to advance.  With both runners in scoring position, Addi Johnson hit a single through the right side to bring both Copeland and Wilson in to score to tie the game up 4-4.

The Crusaders regained the lead with runs in the top of the fifth and sixth innings.

In the bottom of the sixth inning the Warriors struck again.  With one out, Taylor Palfrey hit a double down the right field line and then advanced to third as Addi Johnson hit a single to third base.  Palfrey came in to score on a single by Olivia Haag.  Southern Wesleyan was not done as Avery Mercer hit a single through the right side to put Haag on third and bring Johnson in to score.  McKenzie Babb came in to pinch run for Mercer.  A wild pitch allowed Haag to come in to score and put Babb on third.  Babb came in to score on a ground out by Amberly Way.
