Greenwood, SC – Southern Wesleyan dropped the road contest to the Lander Bearcats on Tuesday evening in a 13-1 final score.
The Warriors had four hits against the Bearcats. Blayze Haddock doubled and Jarrett Whitley hit a home run. Southern Wesleyan walked four times. Eric Yelton started on the mound for the Warriors. Ten pitchers came in to pitch in relief. Christopher Hund led the team with two strikeouts.

How It Happened
Lander stormed out of the gate as they brought two runs in to score in the first inning. They pushed on with runs in the fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth innings to extend their lead to 13-0.
Southern Wesleyan scored their lone run of the game in the top of the ninth inning. With one out, Jarrett Whitley hit a home run over the right field wall. However, the Warriors fell to the Bearcats in a 13-1 final score.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will travel to Murfreesboro, NC on February 23-24 to take on the Chowan Hawks. They will return to Central, SC on February 27 to take on the Shorter Hawks. The Warriors will host the North Greenville Crusaders on March 1-2.
