How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan went on the offensive quickly as Bailey Meyer and Alli Dalton each took attacks on the net, but Mckenna Peaster saved the attack from paying off and giving the Warriors the lead.  Young Harris countered with attacks of their own.  However, Amanda Magnin collected each attack to keep the Mountain Lions off the board.  The Mountain Lions pushed on as Justice Colburn passed the ball in to Betsy Bu who sent the ball into the upper corner of the net to give Young Harris the lead.  Bailey Meyer took a shot off a free kick, but it ricocheted off the goal post to keep the Warriors from tying the game up.  A header by Emily Brennaman allowed the Mountain Lions to extend their lead to 2-0.

Young Harris maintained the intensity in the second half as Morgan Kasel and Meghan Goolsby each took shots on the net, but Amanda Magnin was able to control each of the attacks.  The Warriors would not back down as Ashley Caballero curved the ball into the net off a corner kick to put Southern Wesleyan on the board.  Southern Wesleyan continued to push on as Bailey Meyer and Caballero took more shots on the net.  However, Mckenna Peaster saved the attack to keep the Warriors from tying the match up.  Young Harris pushed on as they netted a goal off the foot of Shania Harris to win the game in a 3-1 final score.
