How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan started the game off strong as Ashley Cerqueira, Jessie Parrott and Alli Dalton each attacked the net.  However, A'Leigh Coleman and the Lions defense thwarted each of their attacks.  Emmanuel countered with shots on the goal by Jillian Aldrich and Shania Wegesend, but Katelyn O'Neill dove on each attack to prevent the Lions from winning the fist goal of the conference match-up.

Coming back from halftime, Eva Stawicki attempted to give the Lions the lead as she attacked the net, but Katelyn O'Neill was not deterred as she collected the attack.  The shots continued, but Southern Wesleyan's defense would not back down.  Jessie Parrott went on the offensive as she crossed the ball over to Alli Dalton.  Dalton crossed the ball past the diving goalkeeper and into the net to put the Warriors on the board first.  With just over fifteen minutes on the clock, Emmanuel retaliated as Jillian Aldrich scored to tie the game up.
