How It Happened

Young Harris charged out of the gate as Chloe Schmidhuber, Anita Roese and Shania Harris pepper the goal with shots.  However, the Warriors' defense deterred each of their attacks from finding the net.  The Warriors countered as Madilyn Moles sent the ball toward the net, but it was blocked by the Mountain Lions.  Young Harris' attacks paid off as Chloe Schmidhuber wove past the defense and sent the ball into the net to give the Mountain Lions the lead.  The Warriors pressed on in an attempt to equalize as both Madelyn Graf and Alli Dalton went on breakaways toward the net, but each time the Mountain Lions defense got in the way.

The Mountain Lions maintained the intensity in the second half as Betsy Bu and Adoria Sanders attacked the net, but Katelyn O'Neill prevent each attack from landing.  Madelyn Graf drove to the net once again, but Mckenna Peaster dove on top of her attack to prevent the Warriors from equalizing.  Helen Posey followed with an attack of her own, but once again Peaster was there.  Young Harris would not relent and finally their attacks paid off as Shania Harris sent the ball over to Emily Brennaman who scored to give the Mountain Lions a 2-0 goal victory.
