How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan went out quickly in the match, but an offsides call prevented their early attack on the net from succeeding. The Mountain Lions challenged right back as both Sergio Llopart and Jamie Lapsley sent the ball toward the net, but Luke Bramblett was there to prevent the attack form paying off. Brody Schroeder sent the ball toward the net, but the ball just missed the top of the goal. Thomas Kleinpenning passed the ball up to Sergio Llopart who scored to allow the Mountain Lions to take the lead going into halftime.
The Warriors continued to press in the second half as Brody Schroeder and Ryan Rodriguez each sent the ball toward the net, but each of their attacks were blocked by the Mountain Lions defense. Young Harris pressed on with shots by Jamie Lapsley and Sergio Llopart, but Luke Bramblett got up to collect each attack. Leonardo Flores broke away from the pack and charged down the field, but his shot on the goal was blocked by the defense.
