How It Happened

North Greenville went on the offensive first as Lucas Pasquale took an attack on the goal, but Southern Wesleyan's back line deterred the attack from paying off.  Noah Koch sent the ball up the field looking for Leonardo Flores, but North Greenville's goalkeeper prevented Flores from winning the ball.  Flores sent the ball toward the net once again, but Ricardo Marques got up in the air to save his attack from meeting the net and giving the Warriors the advantage.  Southern Wesleyan continued to challenge the back line as Gabriel Melendez and Michael Boyle each looked for openings.  The Trailblazers reciprocated with their own attack, but Luke Bramblett came out of the box to kick the ball away.  Alberto Esquivel wove around the defense and fired off a shot, but once again Marques saved the ball from meeting the net.  A foul right out side of the box allowed Esquivel to take a free kick.  Esquivel sent the ball across the box to Josiah Pitts who headed it into the goal for his first goal of the season.

The Trailblazers pushed on early as Florian Schitt sent the ball toward the net, but it went wide left.  The Warriors countered as Gabriel Melendez crossed the ball down the field toward Diego Hernandez.  Hernandez sent the ball toward the net, but it just missed finding the back of the net.  With just over twenty-five minutes left on the clock, Feren Nunez collected the ball from just in front of the half and sent the ball toward the goal.  The ball rattled off the cross bar into the back of the net to give the Warriors a 2-0 goal advantage.  The Trailblazers fought back as Vinicius Silva sent the ball toward the net off a corner kick, but Luke Bramblett would not let the ball reach the net and steal away the shut out.  North Greenville persisted, but Southern Wesleyan's back line thwarted each of their attacks.  The Warriors attacked again with a shot by Brody Schroeder, but Ricard Marques was there to keep Southern Wesleyan from extending on their lead.  The Warriors went on to claim a 2-0 victory over the Trailblazers.
