Columbia, SC - The USC Gamecock Opener was set in the books for the Warriors this past weekend as the team set new season PRs and broke standing school records.

Track Results
60m: Makayla Wilson led the Warriors in the 60m prelims with a time of 8.08. Freshman Alyse Davis followed behind with a time of 8.29. Kyla Johnson ran a time of 8.43. Cianna Laginestra finished with a time of 8.59 and Meshayla Maddox finished with a time of 8.98.
60m Hurdles: Kayla Lema ran a time of 10.1 in the hurdles and finished in 36th. A couple seconds behind Lema, TraVon Lay finished in 44th with a time of 12.0.
200m: In the 200 meters, Makayla Wilson opened up with a season best of 26.54 to claim 26th. Wilson was followed by Lauryn Tate and Kyla Johnson. Tate placed 39th with a time of 27.43 and Johnson was closely behind in 40th with a time of 27.45. Alyse Davis and Kayla Lema went back-to-back with Davis in 43rd after a time of 27.53 and Lema in 44th with a time of 27.56. TraVon Lay finished in 43rd with a time of 27.70 and Cianna Laginestra finished in 53rd with a time of 27.93.
400m: Lauryn Tate led the Warriors in the 400 meters with a time of 1:03.70 finishing 27th overall.
800m: Evelyn Gordon claimed 11th overall with a time of 2:24.62. Gordon was followed by Ava LaBrant who ran a personal best time of 2:33.44 to all her to finish in the top 20. Janey Dixon finished in 23rd with a time of 2:47.36. Divinity Ervin finished closely behind with a time of 2:53.04 taking 25th, and Nicole Feagan took 29th after running a time of 3:10.00.
Mile:
Haley Morgan finished in 25th with a time of 6:01.53 and
Divinity Ervin finished 27th with at ime of 6:08.90.Â
Janey Dixon finished 31st after running a time of 6:19.19. She was followed by
Gisselle Lopez and
Nicole Feagan. Lopez ran a time of 6:56.70 to finish in 33rd, and Feagan finished closely behind with a time of 6:57.69 in 34th place.
3000m: Abbey Frock finished 23rd after a time of 11:10.38 and Emma Dixon finished in 29th with a time of 12:07.07.
Field Results
Long Jump: Zy'Adria Johnson jumped a personal best of 4.93 placing her in 23rd with Makayla Wilson finished in 31st after a jump of 4.53m.
Pole Vault:
Ava LaBrant finished in 16th in the pole vault after clearing a height of 2.92 meters.
Shot Put: Alexandria Luther finished in 25th after her personal best throw of 9.61m. Gracie Wilson finished in 29th after a throw of 8.89m, Lakin Long finished 34th with a throw of 8.16m and Layla-Grey Bennett finished 37th after a 7.55m
Weight Throw:
Lakin Long had a personal best of 10.93 meters finishing just within the top 20 in 19th place.Â
Gracie Wilson followed behind her with a throw of 8.99 meters in 28th place.Â
Alexandria Luther and
Layla-Grey Bennett were the next two Warriors to finish. Luther finished in 30th with a throw of 7.72 meters and Bennett in 32nd with a throw of 7.19 meters.

A select group of Warriors will travel to compete in Virginia at the VMI Invitational on January 19th.
