Columbia, SC - Women's Track and Field hit provisional marks and had several personal records broken while the Warriors competed at the Weems Baskin meet over the weekend. 


 

How It Happened 

Track Results 

100m Open: Deborah Marlow finished 9th with a new PR after running a time of 12.40. Jada Pittman finished closely behind in 15th place with a time of 12.52. 

100m Invite: Makayla Wilson finished 14th with a time of 12.23 

400m Open: Kyla Johnson led the Warriors in the 400 meter open as she placed 8th after a time of 59.67. Lycia Zavala finished closely behind in 10th with a time of 1:00.02. Kayla Lema finished in 22nd with a time of 1:03.26. 

400m Invite: Michele Beugre finished in 4th place with a time of 55.78. Cierra Wright finished 13th with a time of 57.15 

800m: Lycia Zavala finished 16th with a time of 2:25.02. 

200m: In the 200 meters, Mycherie Onwuzuruike finished 19th with a time of 25.21. Onwuzuriuke was followed by Makayla Wilson who ran a time of 25.60 and finished in 31st. She was followed by Deborah Marlow and Kyla Johnson.  Marlow finished 41st with a time of 25.73, and Johnson finished 53rd with a time of 26.37. 

3000m Steeplechase: Abbey Frock placed 5th after running a time of 12:47.77.

4x800 Meter Relay: Merritt Smith, Haley Morgan, Ava Labrant, and Janey Dixon finished 6th with a time of 10:37.00 

4x300 Meter Relay: Cierra Wright, Michele Beugre, Jada Pittman, and Makala Wilson placed 3rd with a time of 2:46.75 

4x100 Meter Relay: Mikayla Wilson, Michele Beugre, Deborah Marlow, and Mycherie Onwuzuruike finished 5th after a time of 46.86 

4x400 Meter Relay: Kyla Johnson, Cierra Wright, Mycherie Onwuzuruike, and Michele Beugre finished 3rd with a time of 3:49.06 

Field Results 

Hammer Throw: Madison Boyd placed 8th with a throw of 46.12 

Discus: Adrionna Coleman led the Warriors in the discus as she finished 10th after a throw of 38.89. Madison Boyd finished in 12th after a throw of 36.34. Selah Holcombe wrapped up the field for the Warriors as she finished 24th after a throw of 31.83 

Long Jump Invite: Mycherie Onwuzuruike placed 4th with a jump 5.86m.
