Milledgeville, GA – Southern Wesleyan dropped the road contest to the Georgia College Bobcats on Tuesday in a 15-1 final score.
The Warriors picked up five hits in the midweek contest. Noah Wiggins led the team with two hits. Justin Purdom doubled. The lone RBI of the game came off the bat of Dawson Gilstrap. Southern Wesleyan walked twice and Purdom was hit by two pitches.
Ash Faulk started on the mound for Southern Wesleyan. Faulk pitched 2.2 innings. Andrew Patterson, Cole Adams and Josh Fenton all came in to pitch in relief.

How It Happened
Georgia College attacked quickly as they plated six runs in the bottom of the first inning. They continued to attack the plate with runs in the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
Southern Wesleyan countered in the top of the seventh inning. Luke Staton led off by reaching first on a walk and then advanced to third base on back-to-back wild pitches. TJ Highsmith walked to put runners at the corners. With two on and no one out, Dawson Gilstrap singled to left field to bring Staton in to score.
However, the Bobcats would not relent as they went on to win the game in a 15-1 final score.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will return home on March 24 and 25 as they host the Emmanuel College Lions. They will then travel to Young Harris, GA on March 28 to take on the Mountain Lions of Young Harris College at 4 p.m. The Warriors will remain on the road on March 31 and April 1 as they continue Conference Carolinas action in Florence, SC to take on the Francis Marion Patriots.
