Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan dropped the final game of the series to the UNC Pembroke Braves in a 6-1 final score.
The Warriors totaled eight hits on the day with Noah Wiggins leading the team with three hits. Chance Fogel picked up extra bases as he hit a triple. Wiggins had the lone RBI of the afternoon. The Warriors walked three times and Marcerio Allen, Wiggins and Jackson Mix all had stolen bases.
Steven Mufareh started the final game of the series. He pitched four innings while striking out four batters. Clifton Olmstead and Josiah Sizemore both came in to pitch in relief. Olmstead struck out three batters during the game.

How It Happened
UNC Pembroke hit the ground running in the final game of the series as they brought in two runs in the top of the second inning. They extending their lead to 5-0 with runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings.
Southern Wesleyan challenged in the bottom of the eighth inning. Chance Fogel led off the inning with a triple that just fell short of the right center field fence. With one out, Noah Wiggins grounded out to the shortstop to bring Fogel across home plate.
The Braves went on to score one more run in the top of the ninth inning to win the game in a 6-1 final score.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Milledgeville, GA on March 21 to take on the Georgia College Bobcats. The Warriors will return to Dr C Keith Connor Field on March 24-25 to take on the Emmanuel Lions. They will then travel to Young Harris, GA to take on the Young Harris Mountain Lions on March 28 at 4 p.m.
