Winston-Salem, NC - Southern Wesleyan took top spots at the JDL College Team Challenge on Thursday evening. The Women's 4x400 Meter Relay team hit the NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark and set the new meet record after securing a 1st place finish with a time of 3:52.32.

Track Results
60m: Mycherie Onwuzuruikesecured second place in the 60 meters with a time of 7.71. Freshman Jada Pittman finished closely behind with a time of 7.92 and Makayla Wilson placed 7th with a time of 7.93.
60mh: TraVon Lay placed 2nd after running a time of 9.73. Lay was followed by Kayla Lema who finished 4th after running a time of 9.84. Lauryn Tate wrapped up the field for the Warriors as she finished 7th after running a time of 10.34
200m: Deborah Marlow secured 1st place with a time of 25.87
400m: Cierra Wright secured first place in the women's 400 meters with a time of 58.76. Kyla Johnson finished 3rd with a time of 1:00.08.
3000m: Macey Morgan finished 3rd with a time of 11:17.25
Mile: Merritt Smith led the Warriors in the mile. Her time of 5:29.25 allowed her to take third place. Janey Dixon followed in 12th with a time of 5:57.39.
800m: Lycia Zavala took 3rd place in the 800 meters after running a time of 2:27.24. Haley Morgan followed her in 11th with a time of 2:35.07. Isabela Castillo followed with a time of 2:35.18 for 12th place.
4x400 Meter Relay: The A team of Deborah Marlow, Michele Beugre, Mycherie Onwuzuruike and Cierra Wright secured 1st place with a time of 3:52.32. Their time not only set a new meet record, but also allowed them to hit a NCAA Qualifying mark. Behind them, the B team of Kyla Johnson, Lauryn Tate, Makayla Wilson and TraVon Lay ran a time of 3:14.30 and finished in 3rd place.

High Jump: Isabela Castillo finished 5th after clearing a height of 1.49 meters.
Triple Jump: In the triple jump, Kayla Love finished 4th after jumping a distance of 10.79 meters. Jada Pittman finished closely behind in 6th with a jump of 10.66 meters.
Weight Throw: Madison Boyd led the Warriors in the Weight Throw as she finished 3rd after throwing 14.97 meters. Hannah Hall finished 5th with a throw of 12.57 meters. Selah Holcombe wrapped up the Weight Throw for Southern Wesleyan as she finished 7th with a throw of 11.31 meters.
What's Next
The Warriors will compete in the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track and Field Championship on Feb 12-13th.
