Tigerville, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell to the North Greenville Crusaders on Friday evening in a 3-0 final score.
The Warriors picked up 23 kills in the loss to the Crusaders. Emily Ellis led the team with seven kills with Megan Gilliland following the six and Michaela Andress with five. Of the 21 assists, Amiyah Spann had nine. Trinity Eichman and Andress each had two blocks. Andress went on to lead the team with 13 digs.

How It Happened
Set One
North Greenville attacked quickly on a kill by Elena Dyer, but a kill by Gracie Wilson allowed the Warriors to tie the set up. The Crusaders would not back down as kills by Kelli Davis and Abigail Durham allowed them to take a two point lead. The Warriors countered with kills by Emily Ellis and Megan Gilliland to take the lead. The lead was short lived as Jessica Connelly laid down a kill to put North Greenville back on top. Gilliland put down a kill to keep the Warriors within one point of the Crusaders. Kills by Davis and Durham allowed North Greenville to push their lead to 14-11. North Greenville would not relent as they won the first set in a 25-14 final score.
Set Two
A kill by Abigail Durham and an assisted block by Jessica Connelly and Kelli Davis allowed North Greenville to take the early lead. Emily Ellis and Trinity Eichman laid down kills to put the Warriors within one. The Crusaders would not relent as Connelly put down back-to-back kills to extend their lead to four points. Southern Wesleyan continued to challenge with kills by Megan Gilliland and Ellis. Abigail Durham attacked once more to give the Crusaders a 25-13 point victory.
Set Three
The Crusaders attacked quickly in the final set as Kelli Davis and Abigail Durham each put down kills. They took an eight point lead on an ace by Ashlyn Conner, but kills by Emily Ellis and Micheala Andress allowed the Warriors to get on the board. An ace by Isabella Mitchell allowed North Greenville to maintain their eight point lead. They pushed on as a kill by Anna Fiddelke put them on top 14-4. Southern Wesleyan fought back with kills by Ellis and Andress. Andress and Trinity Eichman blocked another attack by the Crusaders. However, an assisted block by Allison Ball and Fiddelke allowed North Greenville to win the final set in a 25-13 final score.

Southern Wesleyan will wrap up the regular season on November 6 as they host the Lees-McRae Bobcats in Historic Tysinger Gymnasium.
