  • Attended Miami East High School where she graduated in 2023
  • Named All-State and Conference Player of the Year as a senior
  • Her team went 22-5 and 14-0 in conference during her senior year
  • During her junior and senior seasons she was named 1st Team All-District
  • Named 2nd Team All-Conference as a freshman
Personal
  • Born April 25, 2005 to Matt and Heather Gilliland
  • Her uncle, Jeff Uhlenhake, played football at Ohio State University and then went on to play professionally for the Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints and Washington Redskins from 1989 to 1998
  • Majoring in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Criminology

What are your goals for the upcoming season? My goal for the upcoming season is to have a winning record.

Why did you choose SWU? To follow a Christ-centered path while pursuing volleyball.

What is your favorite thing about SWU? How welcoming everyone on the team is!

Why is your sport important to you? My mom was a volleyball coach so growing up in the gym made sports very important.

Who is your greatest influence in your life? Why?  My dad.  He never fails to pick me up when I'm down and isn't afraid to push me in the right direction.

Where do you want to be in five years?  I want to take on a criminal investigation position with the FBI.

Do you have a nickname? How did you get it?  One-leg-meg.  I played an entire volleyball season with a torn meniscus and could only jump off of one leg.

Favorite food? My grandma's waffles
