How It Happened

The Lions came out strong with a shot by Lourdes Tompkins, but it was blocked.  Bella Hanzel countered with a shot, but it went out wide left.  The Warriors maintained the pressure as Karina Pashkovets, Wynn Bradley and Madi Wurst each took shots on the goal, but Julia Styrmisdottir was not discouraged in the net as she saved each attack.  Despite a late run by Kira Brown, the Warriors and Lions remained tied 0-0 at halftime.

Emmanuel attacked quickly with an attack by Janya Gonzalez, but Katelyn O'Neill saved the attack.  The Warriors threatened with a shot off the foot of Madelyn Graf, but her attack was thwarted.  The Lions countered shortly afterwards with a goal by Gonzalez to give them the lead.  Southern Wesleyan tied the match up as Bella Hanzel sent the ball into the back of the net.  The Lions pressed on as goals by Gonzalez and Harley Murphy allowed them to win the game in a 3-1 final.
