Coach Meneses says...
"Well deserved win today! It's been a season of many injuries and the girls have continued to fight and work hard every game. As we approach our last regular season game this Saturday, we would like to thank and welcome all our supporters as we get ready to celebrate our seniors."
How It Happened
The Warriors attacked the net quickly as Madi Wurst and Presleigh Bayot each sent up shots, but neither shot found the net. Clair Lewis continued to save the attacks as Wurst and Madelyn Graf peppered the goal with attacks. MJ Grant got around the defense and sent the ball to the net, but once again Lewis prohibited the attack from paying off. Wurst collected the ball and sent it into the back of the net to put the Warriors on top 1-0 at halftime.
The Warriors charged out of the gate as Presleigh Bayot passed the ball up to Madi Wurst. Wurst sent the ball to the net for her second goal of the game. Southern Wesleyan continued their attacks as Madelyn Graf sent the ball into the back of the net a couple minutes later to extend the Warriors lead to 3-0. Erskine challenged with shots by Amber Elgin and Rebekah Wiles, but Katelyn O'Neill and Southern Wesleyan's defense thwarted each of their attacks. Wurst passed the ball up to Audrey Crawford. Crawford sent the ball into the goal for her first goal of the season. Erskine countered as Kaylee Damsen scored. The Warriors continued to pepper the net with shots by Crawford, Graf and Wurst, but Amanda Johnston stood strong in the goal. Southern Wesleyan claimed a 4-1 victory over Erskine.
