Francis Marion pushed ahead in the second quarter as Jasmine Stanley laid the ball up into the basket.  A jump shot by Lauryn Taylor allowed the Patriots to take a five point lead.  The Warriors kept the game within five as Allie Newberry put up a jump shot.  With just under six minutes left on the clock, Brittany Mack stepped beyond the arc and hit a three point shot.  Back-to-back layups by Mack and Brooke Henricks allowed the Warriors to take a one point lead.  However, the lead was short lived as Jasmine Stanley and Aniyah Oliver laid the ball up into the basket.  The Patriots went on to lead 35-29 at halftime.

The Warriors kicked off the third quarter with a layup by Brittany Mack to put them within four points of the Patriots.  Back-to-back three point baskets by Shelby Glance and Mack allowed the Warriors to chip away at the Patriots with just under seven minutes on the clock.  Francis Marion continued their attacks as Oliver sunk a three point shot to extend their lead to 45-37.  However, Southern Wesleyan continued to push as Caroline Reese hit a three pointer of her own.

A layup by Lauryn Taylor kicked off the final quarter for the Patriots.  However the Warriors challenged right back as Alexis Glover and Lexi Greffen laid the ball up into the net to put them down one point to the Patriots.  Jasmine Stanley stole the ball away from the Warriors and laid it up into the net on a fast break to put Francis Marion ahead by three.  Lexi Greffen put up a layup in the paint to put the Warriors down 56-53.  Greffen laid the ball up once again, but the Patriots maintained their five point lead on a jump shot by Kiana Lee.  Despite layups by Brittany Mack and Greffen, the Warriors fell to the Patriots in a 70-66 final score.
