How It Happened
Lees-McRae charged out of the gate as Harrison Watts and Landon Robbins took shots on the goal, but
Wesley Bigbee dove in front of all of their attacks to keep the Bobcats off the board. The Bobcats would not relent as Jesper Jonsson passed the ball up to Harrison Watts, who put the ball into the back of the net to give Lees-McRae the lead. The Warriors countered as
Tipton Wright broke away towards the net, but a last second offsides call kept his attack from paying off. Daniel Garvilla scored on the last second to give the Bobcats a 2-0 goal lead at half.
The Bobcats remained on the offensive in the second half as Kevan Wambugu took several shots, but
Wesley Bigbee would not let the attacks pay off as he blocked the attacks. The Warriors fought back as
Roye Maman put up a shot, but Lees-McRae kept Southern Wesleyan from cutting into their lead.
Trey Greenwood and
Noah Koch each took attacks, but the Bobcats thwarted each attacks to allow Lees-McRae to take a 2-0 victory.
