How It Happened
The Lions attacked early with shots by Lucas Pollacchi, however the Warriors back line deterred the attacks to keep Emmanuel off the board. The Warriors countered as
Feren Nunez sent the ball toward the net, but Rodrigo De La Terga saved the attack from reaching the back of the net. Emmanuel would not relent as back-to-back goals by Chris Klooster and Lucas Pollacchi gave the Lions a 2-0 goal lead at half time.
Emmanuel continued their attacks in the second half with shots by Albert Bajrami, Alexander Panner and Rafael Calderon, but
Wesley Bigbee thwarted each attack to prevent the Lions from extending their lead further. The Warriors would not back down as
Feren Nunez and
Tipton Wright each drove the ball toward the net. However, Rodrigo De La Terga got in the way of each shot to save the ball and keep the Warriors off the board. Despite late shots by Wright and
Pedro Fonseca, the Lions went on to win the game 2-0.
