How It Happened

Mount Olive took the first shot of the game off the foot of Rafael Obraczka, but Wesley Bigbee saved the attack.  Southern Wesleyan continued to stay strong in the back line under the guidance of senior captain Zachary Hurst.  Together the back line thwarted each of the Trojans attacks off the foot of Joao Barboza Filho.  The Trojans would not relent as Pedro Franca scored the first goal of the game after thirty minutes of play to give Mount Olive the lead.  Southern Wesleyan challenged back as Hykeem Martin sent the ball toward the net, but Axel Engren saved the attack to keep the Trojans ahead 1-0 at halftime.

Southern Wesleyan challenged early in the second half as Jon-Luke Rodriguez took a shot on the goal, but Axel Engren maintained his composer in the net to prevent the attack from paying off.  Hykeem Martin took another attack on the net, but once again the Trojans thwarted his attack.  The Trojans continued to pepper the Warriors defense with shots, but they blocked the attacks to keep Mount Olive from extending their lead further.  Trey Greenwood headed the ball around the goalkeeper toward the net, but the Trojans defense headed it away at the last second to keep the Warriors off the board.  Mount Olive scored once more off the foot of Christen Lugo-Elibox to take a 2-0 goal victory.
