How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan attacked early as both Madi Wurst and Fianna Steves took shots, but the North Greenville defense thwarted each attack to keep the Warriors off the board.  The Crusaders countered with a shot by Aubrey Kramer, but Amanda Magnin defended the net to keep them off the board.  They would not relent as Romee Contreras passed the ball over to Alexah Fite who put it into the net to give North Greenville the early lead.  Fite scored once more to put the Crusaders up 2-0.  The Warriors challenged back as Karla Gordon took a shot on the goal, but the Crusaders defense kept her attack from putting the Warriors on the board.  Contreras scored the third goal for the Crusaders.  Southern Wesleyan fought back as Gordon got around the defense to score and put the Warriors down 3-1 at the half.

North Greenville remained on the offensive in the second half as Aubrey Kramer, Romee Contreras and Jada Patrick all took shots on the goal.  Amanda Magnin saved each attack on the net to keep the Crusaders from extending their lead.  Southern Wesleyan challenged back as Karla Gordon took another attempt on the net, but Samantha Montgomery would not allow the ball to get into the net.  Despite shots by Bella Hanzel, Madi Wurst and Bryanna Pickens, the Warriors dropped the game to the Crusaders in a 3-1 final.
