Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan dropped the first two games to the North Greenville Crusaders on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors challenged in the game one 3-2 loss before falling in game two 13-0.
The Warriors had three hits in the first game of the day.
Chance Fogel doubled in the loss. Southern Wesleyan walked once and both Fogel and
Parker Pillsbury stole bases.
Beau Shaw started the first game of the afternoon and pitched four innings while striking out one batter.
Jacob Standridge came in to pitch in relief and struck out four batters over five innings pitched.
Southern Wesleyan was unable to collect a hit in the second game. Three Warriors walked in the loss.
Sean Sutay started the second game and pitched 2.1 innings. Both
Ryan Moore and
Aidan Evans came in to pitch in relief and combined for 4.2 innings pitched and four strikeouts.

How It Happened
Game One
North Greenville took the first run of the afternoon on a home run by Stringer. Southern Wesleyan countered in the bottom of the third inning. With two outs,
Will Pitts singled to center field and then advanced to third on a double to left center by
Chance Fogel. A wild pitch allowed Pitts to come in to score and tied the game up at one run apiece. Fogel then stole third base to put the Warriors on top 2-1.
The Crusaders did not let up the pressure as they scored runs in the top of the fifth and sixth innings to give North Greenville a 3-2 victory.
Game Two
North Greenville kept the Warriors off the board in the second game of the afternoon. The Crusaders scored in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and seventh innings to win the game in a 13-0 final score.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will wrap up the series against the North Greenville Crusaders on March 20 at 1 p.m. The Warriors will then travel to Milledgeville, GA on March 22 to take on the Georgia College Bobcats at 2 p.m. Southern Wesleyan will then travel to Murfreesboro, NC on March 25-26 to take on the Chowan Hawks.
